  • What is a case competition?
A business case competition is a competition that helps gain and strengthen the skills essential for youth as they enter the world of business. At Prosper, we aim to develop these important skills, such as critical thinking and public speaking, that are needed to guarantee success in your future careers. Our mission is to engage youth in the business world through workshops, panels of industry professionals, and case competitions. Whether you are interested in accounting, marketing, finance, or business in general, our conference has an array of activities for everyone. We recognize that each individual is unique and have different interests. That is why we incorporate the whole package and you can get a taste of all that business can offer at Prosper.
  • What do I bring to the conference?
A laptop, a charger for your laptop, something to take notes with, water to stay hydrated, proper attire, presentation clicker (optional), and the proper A/V adapters (most Sauder classrooms use VGA and HDMI for display input).
  • What if I don’t have a team of 4-5?
Any incomplete teams or individual delegates will be paired together by the Prosper team before the conference, so having a complete team is not a requirement for participation.
  • How should I prepare for the conference?
We will release pre-conference materials that will allow beginners to familiarize themselves with the case competition and pitch formats while experienced competitors can refresh their knowledge. This includes a guide to case competitions, a guide to creating a startup, and other useful materials. Otherwise, no extra preparation is necessary.
